Dear Bryan B!
The reason why I am writing you is because I would like to tell you that I have learned about the Opportunity Cost and I think that you have not notice it but, being that distracted in classes could affect you in high school and in life as well. Let me explain what an Opportunity Cost is and how could it affect you in life...
Opportunity Cost is a decision you take over something else. In other words, it Is the next best choice that you give up in order to do something else. For example, in Ms. Langrehr's class you were play that silly game instead of being doing class work or study. If you keep behaving that way it could not affect you now, but it could affect you in a negative way in the future. Lets say that you don't study for the S.O.L. then the possibilities of passing it will be lower than the possibility of fail it. This is relevant because if you keep doing bad at school and failing S.O.L. you might not graduate from high school and probably not go to college. Lets think about how it could affect anyone's future. At least with the high school diploma you can find a job where you could earn a not bad salary. If you go to college or/and four years university you could find a job where you can earn a good salary. If you don't graduate even from high school it would more difficult for you to find a job and if you do you salary could be the lowest. Being silly and acting immature is the opportunity cost you have now that could define your future, so I hope you consider to choose the right decision and change your future now that you can.
Sincerely,
The best... Edwin
